“The Talk”
My paradise is lost, so in turn,
I acclimate to my prison
All this time, there’s a vessel
in my life that’s missing
In the crimson cascade I see the
world’s parade
These life leeches that help move
along the minds decay
An array of souls who mimic all
the sights and sounds
Whom altogether, feel alone when
the lights go down
If it sounds profound, then I
implore you to listen
If nothing, I pray you understand
my mission
Tradition hasn’t done much but
cause me despair
Single file, down the lonely road
of “I don’t care”
Devoid of any hopes, worries, or
dreams I walk….
But I hold illusions reality by
the seams
The schemes of a foreign mind; a
brutal design
A calamity that’s been looted and
confused by time
My sanity is slipping, eternity
is eating me whole
I need one more moment of
levity…to achieve my goals.
