The Ball

Let’s waltz at the worlds pace; let’s embrace and divide like we’ve climbed up high.

Let’s peruse the wonders that become us, and show them that there’s nothing to us.

Let them whisper on the sidelines while we make this light our own.

It’s a comfort to us, this spotlight, in the dark we’re away, but to bask, we’re home.

As the stardust falls we are drawn as a couple whose cares are none.

We know, as the painting slows, the pain we’ve overcome may also. end some.

But oh to run, to fall, as if to care none at all.

To dance in the shadows, and then in the light, and hear the laughter in these vacant halls.

Let’s slow my dear, for the sun is about to shed.

It unfurls its majestic design and repaints a mystery that was once said

Let’s observe and watch, let’s be here for the paradise parade

I hear you whisper my dear, that sweet amorous chatter that I adore

Keep the ascent of scaling remedies, Oh! The precise pitch of soliloquies

I’m enthralled with thee, sweet soft honey of thy lips..

The stars alleviate themselves of their silk slip

And enjoy the wrought pain they invite unto their own
