Grays Of Sunday

Grays of Sunday
So, darling please remember
We live and we die
You say my hearts as cold as December
And as black as night... Honey
I may impress you one day, but not tonight
I walk these roads of mourning.... anger, strife, and plight
Just to make it to Sunday, where I can see a light now darling.
Keep me in your thoughts and dreams now
I feel my consciousness slipping
Into the abyss of forgotten, where the moans are tangible and rotten
So remember brighter days and laughter
Remember those dreams we chased after
Your smile used to make my heart wild
The thought of you is still fire
But what remains of our world is ash now
And a shadow of me you admired....
These are the grays of Sunday
Where the rays of sun have retired
These are the grays of Sunday
Hold them close to your heart now honey..... These are the grays of Sunday
A moment of peace you desired
These are the grays of Sunday
The precipice of a new life.....
