In The Walls

In The Walls

The quietness of the ocean’s song preaches the prelude of my earthly fire

Down the rabbit hole, through the catacombs, in search of peace I might acquire

Liquid falls down these hollow walls as I proceed through my illusion spent

I receive the aid of those dismayed whom left this world the foulest scent

Below I hear the demons dance and above I hear the angels sing

At each door, amidst 7 more, I deliver those I’m told to bring

Across the chasm my conscious speaks and I drift toward a familiar tone

An evil mentions my past transgressions to attempt to darken my pathway home

A thunder sounds, I look above, out of the inner temple my savior calls

I close my eyes, to enjoy the ride, my salvation lies within those walls.
