What was he like? Did you know his goals?
Did he make you smile when you were with him?
Did he treat you like gold?
How did he make you laugh?
Did he have a sensitive touch?
How much do you remember? Do you remember much?
How did you feel when he walked in a room?
Did anticipation run a muck when he said “I’ll be home soon”?
Did his stare make you quiver, like a river in a storm?
When you shivered in the cold, did he make you warm?
How much do you remember? Do you remember at all?
How did you react, when you heard his call?
Did his presence bring you air? Were you a completed pair?
Do you remember the good things, now that he’s not there?
These are reasons to remember, and whatever merit it scores
Remember, that from the start, his heart was yours
